ASU Spring Wellness Week begins April 22

 

The Adams State University FitWELL Program in collaboration with La Puente’s Hunger Education Week has planned activities for the semi-annual Wellness Week. Events will take place from April 22 through April 28.

 

Jessica Chacon, Fitness and Wellness Coordinator, coordinated with campus clubs, departments and community organizations to host events and workshops. Events are open to the public, and free unless otherwise noted.

 

Saturday, April 22:

 

Tree Planting at the Rio Grande Farm Park

(SW of the Hwy 17/Hwy 160 Intersection)

Breakfast: 9 a.m.

Tree Planting/Kid Activities: 10 a.m.

Alamosa, Colo.

 

Tree Planting at the Valley Bound Community Garden

10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Antonito, Colo.

 

Sunday, April 23:

 

Hunger Crop Walk at Cole Park

Registration: 1 p.m.

Walk: 2pm

3-mile walk followed by food and live music

 

Monday, April 24:

 

All day: $5 haircuts at College Cuts
