Mark your Calendars, there is much to do in the SLV to show support for our EARTH in the next week-COMING RIGHT UP!
What: San Luis Valley Momentum Initiative Workshop*
When: This Friday, April 21, 2017, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Where: Alamosa Family Recreation Center, 2222 Old Sanford Road, Alamosa
*Please note: there is no cost to attend; lunch will be provided

Part of a statewide network of gateway community development efforts, the SLV Momentum Initiative will explore paths to creating a vibrant, prosperous future for the valley and its communities. The Momentum Initiative will provide a platform for community members, businesses, industries, local governments, and land managers to work together to tackle challenges presented by promoting and protecting natural and cultural assets, and preserving other economic sectors and ways of life.

Friday, April 21st – Sunday, April 23rd Earth Day Weekend Camp-Out & Riparian Restoration Community Service Project – Register with United Campus Ministry
Monday, April 24th Rio Grande Cleanup – 4 pm – 5:30 pm – meet at 4 pm in front of the ASU Track Bubble
Tuesday, April 25th Campus Garden Work Day – 4 pm – 5:30 pm – meet outside of the pink Gingerbread House building across from Savage Hall on the corner of Murphy Dr. & Craig Dr.
*Earn AS&F student club points when volunteering for this event.
Wednesday, April 26th Sustainability Fair & Reduce and Reuse Garage Sale – 11 am – 3 pm – Student Union Building – support EARTH by dropping off items at the garage sale or buying something
Thursday, April 27th Sustainability Themed Film Screening on Earthships – 7 pm – Porter Hall 130 – light refreshments at 6:30 pm Engage in determining if you can detect a difference in bottled water vs. tap water after the film
Friday, April 28th SLV Climate March Sign Making Event – 11 am – 3 pm – Student Union Building – support EARTH and the SLV community climate march by making a sign to be used during the march *Earn AS&F student club points when volunteering for this event.
Saturday, April 29th (Go to https://www.facebook.com/slvclimatemarch, bring friends) SLV Climate March – 12 pm – March around campus.
3 pm – Carson Auditorium – Student Union Building – Keynote Speakers
